Our primary expertise lies in high quality out of autoclave composites, prepreg or resin infusion. Our processes can achieve laminate quality comparable to that of an autoclave, at a much reduced cost. Certification: This subject requires experience and understanding of the approach and demands of the certifying authorities. AEL has that knowledge and experience of working with the CAA / EASA on aviation projects and DNV / GL on renewable energy projects.
When a certified standard does not exist, AEL produces its own design guidelines for a particular project. This is the case for tidal turbine blades were AEL has drawn upon existing standards for wind turbines, offshore structures and its own experience to formulate an internal ‘design methodology’ document.
